In the wonderful glow of Chicago,we were perhaps a bit unrealistic about what does and does not happen in August,when a great many people are away.
So the Symposium report (PDF) is later than we intended — but full of the energy that was at the meeting. In addition to all the drawings from the meeting which we’ve already shared,you can now also view photos of the Symposium participants in action in the slideshow below.

Our thanks to everyone who completed a Symposium evaluation. We urge all of you to take a look at the open ended responses to the evaluation questions. They really show the engagement in Chicago,and also offer a coolheaded perspective on both the aspirations and the very real challenges of moving forward in the way we agreed we want to.
The Symposium report lays out the action steps suggested in the meeting. In the next couple of weeks,we will be reaching out to everyone who volunteered to join the Steering Committee,and others of you,to develop a tighter plan for the next few months. You can expect that we will move forward from here with the same transparency and participation that was reflected in the meeting in Chicago.
